Today I'm going to talk about the evolution history of the internet, A brief history of the internet

•       The internet first started in the 1950s in the USA

•       There was a huge tension between Soviet and USA.

•       USA was scared there was going to be a surprise attack so that’s

•       That’s when they realized they needed to take an action plan by inventing a communication system which can help them communicate properly between the two countries.

•       Computers were large and expensive back then only used by scientist and university staff.  This is when the internet started by some researchers over the years to maintain communication and research.

      connectivity and information access as we know today. 

  In October 1969 Arpanet becomes the first operational packet switching network, marking the           dawn of modern digital communications.

     In March 1989 Tim bernes lee invents world wide web protocols enabling easy sharing and access of

     the internet globally.

      In December 1994 Netscape navigator launches as a popular web browser expanding internet use among the public

In June 1997 Introduction of WI FI technology sets the stage for wireless networking and mobile connectivity at home and work.

In September 1998 google search engine revolutionizes online information retrieval making data more accessible than ever before.

individuals using the internet as percentage of whole population is 68.7 % 

females using internet 66.5 percent.

•       TOTAL PERCENTAGE OF USERS ON INTERNET 83.6%

 •TOTAL PERCENTAGE OF RURAL POPULATION THAT USES INTERNET 47.9%

•Mobile phones and smartphones are being used 91percent of the time
•Tablets are popular and being used 66% of the time
•Internet connected to tv is used 27% in 2014-2015

•       How consumers use of technology has changed over the past 3-5 years is that they are using mobile and tablets for most internet activities such as online entertainment social media and entertainment.

•       Theres also an increase of social media use since tik Tok came out they advertise business online to gain customers to click and buy online

•       There’s a rise of online reviews and ratings consumers use this to gain information on platforms.

•       Increase in online shopping such as purchasing through                    e commerce

•       Artificial intelligent in dating world and online apps to chatting in retail to buy certain products.

•       Using voice search and voice commands

•       Use of QR CODES

 

 


SUMMERY


•       The technology world has changed over the years by human behaviour, by using internet and social media since covid over 5 years ago. The world has dramatically changed because of artificial intelligence being born and e commerce online shopping being popular to mobile phones being upgraded every year with more advancements for internet users and laptops and computers changing significantly to improve buyer's needs. Shopping experience becoming more easier to access and more hidden advertisements popping up in every app for online shoppers and people using various channels and apps to search for information and products online.  Over-all there will be more changes in the future due to the challenges we face in our daily lives especially with social influencers taking a change to what we buy and eat and how we perceive things. Internet is always going to be in our daily Live and it will always have a big influence on us wherever we go and what we do.
